Windows Server 2008 and ASP help needed
Hi, I am looking to find out whether ASP is backward compatible with Windows server 2008. I have a client who has a site made in ASP, and I am trying to convice him that it is not a good idea to keep it, and upgrade instead. So, even if it is not a good idea, will ASP actually run on Server 2008? Cheers.

ASP is still supported in IIS that come with Windows Server 2008. You can enable support for classic ASP by selecting ASP in role services (sub-component ofApplication Development). Normally, I will recommendmy customerto move to ASP.NET if they want to take advantage of the additional feature provided in ASP.NET. However, some of them prefer to stay with classic ASP base web application if they are satisfywithfeature provided inclassic ASP or they don't have development budget to convert existing code to ASP.NET base web application.
