Windows Server 2008 Server in not operational
Ok every now and then the server will thow out a "server is not operational" when I try and access AD GPO users cant get internet access either. If I restart the server everything runs fine for a few days again. So far I have done the following: DNS checked everything seems fine Pointed the server back too itself as the preferred DNS sever Any ideas? Best Regards P.Walther.

hi there, Can you check if the service AD Domain Services is started on the DC? If not, start the service, also please query the status of the service from command prompt using the below commandsc \\hostname query ntds wherehostname is the hostname of the DC you are querying.also make sure that you are able to perform other operations such as browser service , check if sysvol folder is shared. and also run dcdiag utility from command prompt and send us the output for further analysis. please get us any interesting / suspicious events that are logged in event viewer.sainath
