Hi, I have Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 installed on my dev box, some time back I also installed RHEL 5 (dual boot) as well for testing purposes. I don't need the RHEL on my dev box anymore as I have a got a separate box for it now. So, I am planning to remove the Linux partition now, but the thing is I will loose my MBR in that case. I saw online some posts saying that 'bootrec /fixmbr' and 'bootrec /fixboot' do not work for Windows Server 2008, and therefore I am skeptical of deleting the Linux partition without knowing the exact way to recover the MBR in Windows 2008 R2. I have lots of stuff saved on my windows partition and I do not want to get in a situation where I can't recover the boot record. Can someone please provide a link / description to the boot recovery steps. Thanks!
