Windows Server 2008 R2 shows memory usage up to 92% but when check the Resource monitor not so much memory are used
I am having a performance issue with my SQL reporting server, when I got to the server it shows 92% memory are used in total. so I checked detail which process were using so much memory, but nothing too big, so I sum all the memory usage listed in the resource monitor, and the total number is about 600m, and my server has 4G memory. Is there any way to check where is my memory? and which process are using it? Hi Myousufali thanks for your reply. Since the memory usage of SQL service is normal, so I would think it should be a general issue of the Winows 2008 server R2.

Hi, SQL services are designed in such a way that it takes most of the memory of your system, so this seems normal. Thanks, Swapnil Prajapati

Hi Prajapati That part is weird, because if you take a look at the resource usage, it shows that the SQL service and Reporting service are only using the 200m memory. How can I determine the exactly memory of SQL services are used? I listed the memory usage of SQL services from the Resource Monitor: Image PID Hard Faults/sec Commit (KB) Working Set (KB) Shareable (KB) Private (KB) ReportingServicesService.exe 1700 0 256,300 180,640 36,792 143,848 sqlservr.exe 1512 0 246,892 117,484 16,128 101,356
