Windows Server 2008 R2 Event ID 8193
When I installed WS08R2, before adding any roles I found this error in the event log Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error calling routine RegOpenKeyExW(-2147483646,SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSS\Diag,...). hr = 0x80070005, Access is denied. I found an article about this error, it talked about allowing full control to the user through regedit. If the user "NETWORK SERVICE" is not in any of the subkey, how do you allow full control? I am new to Servers, so please be gentle!

you can add the user network service in the security dialog. when you navigate to the key and rightclick it and select permissions, there should be an option to add users
