Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise upgrade
I am trying to upgrade two servers with Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition to Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise, and i keep getting blue screen before the upgrade it starts. I rebooted the servers with Win 2008 DVD and the min the servers showing Windows 2008 R2 DVD starting up, i got the blue screen. I removed AV installed, and couple of applications, but still not able to upgrade the servers. Don't Give UP

Cross-architecture in-place upgrades (for example, x86 to x64) are not supported. I hope you have seen this article. Thanks

You have to use another one if you are planning to install Windows 2008 R2 on this server. The processor should be x64. Note that upgrading from a 32 bit OS to a 64 bit is not supported.
