Windows Server 2008 R2 Activation
If you used a MAK key to activate you should be fine. in a run box type slmgr.vbs /xpr It should show as permanently activated. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee939271.aspx#EFAA http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/existing-customers/product-activation.aspx Regards, ~P MCSE, MCITP, MCTS, MCP, CCNA

Hi Gandalf, Thanks for your reply, will that work for Windows 2008 R2 Server and Windows 7? I tried on my windows 7 and it gave an error. I'm more concerned to use with the Windows 2008 R2 Server so I will test with in our lab. Also running the command will only show the status and will not change any status correct? Thanks, RobRob Jung ADRWeb

Please help me clarify, if we have 30 stand alone Windows 2008 R2 Server. I activated all of them using internet access. If we don't allow internet access on those servers will the activate stay active? Or will the Servers try to check online to reactivate in x amount of days? Right now the servers are all still showing active but soon they will be on the network without internet access. Is there anything I need to do so the Windows 2008R2 Servers Stay Active. I'm using the Windows Server General Group, if I need to ask another group please let me know. I need to make sure all my Servers keep Active Status and don't have any problems. Thanks in advance, RobRob Jung ADRWeb
