Windows Server 2008 PXE Client boot not working.
Hello There, I am following a education for 70-643 (Win Server 2008 Applications (not R2, I don't know if that matters? )) In the MsPress book there are some exercises that you have to do; Here is my problem; I have installed all required server roles without any problem ( WDS, WAIK, DHCP, DNS, Active Dir.) . Configured my domain controller without any problem. I have created an ISO from (using WAIK and WDS) from the DVD that came along with it the book. In the book it said that I had to install WDS --> without any problem. I have installed the Boot image and the Install Image. What I'm referring to is the point where I want to boot on the network with my VPC ( server2 ) that is a bare without any software. It does see the network boot, and I can press F12 but other than that there appears a black screen and won't load any further. Does anyone really have a clue of what to do? Thank you for reading my message. Roger

do you get an ip address? You might want to check if your DHCP is configured to hand out ip addresses to bootp clients
