Windows Server 2008 Licensing Question
I'm working on a project where I have 150 servers that need to be completely replaced due to age (10+ years old). I'm in the process of getting quotes from Dell, however I heard about Enterprise/Volume licensing and I'm not completely familiar with
it. Basically I'm looking to get a copy of Windows Server that I can use within my company instead of purchasing a server with an OS already installed. I know that a lot of government organizations have this setup.
Would an enterprise agreement be the thing I'm looking for?

Likely, but it would also depend on the number of clients you are supporting, and if you already have client access licenses for the version of Windows server you plan to install. Your best bet would be to work with a Microsoft software reseller to
find a licensing program that will meet the needs of your organization. Be sure to think beyond just this project, 3 to 5 years out if possible.
