Windows Server 2008 & ICH7R. Is that possible?
We have server withSupermicro motheboard PDSMi based on E7230 Intelchipset. It has ICH7R controller. We tryingto instal Server 2008 x64 on it. Setup program successfully finds the driver for ICH7R, which I provide, but nothing happends. Where is no any drives to select to whichinstall system. ICH7R controller has configured RAID5 array with 2 partitions. Where to find apropriate x64 ICH7R driver for Windows Server 2008? Also we have Promise FASTTRAK SX4300 SATA RAID controller. Has anyone tried it on Server2008?

A quick google gave me this hit: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/Other-DRIVERS-TOOLS/Others/Gigabyte-GA-G1975X-Intel-ICH6R-ICH7R-ICH7DH-ICH8R-x64-Driver-6-2-0-2002.shtml The driver is provided by the hardware manufacturer, so look at their site. This goes for Fasttrak too.

I'm sorry to have to inform you both Intel and Promise have not yet released Windows Server 2008 compatible drivers for these devices. You mighthave luck withthe Intel Vista x64 drivers and the older Promise SX4300 drivers or try contacting each firm for support on their products.
