Windows Server 2003 x64 Missing Memory
I'm in task manager for my Windows Server 2003 x64 system with 8 gigs of physical ram. When we boot up our applications, the physical memory usage in task manager only adds up to about 3 gigabytes of memory. if I add the disk/system cache, it's about 4 gigs of memory. A little bit of memory goes to VMWare over head. My physical memory usage says 98% used though, when I would expext about 50-60$ used. Is there a way to identify where my other 4 gigs of ram went? -Jonathan

Is your Windows Server 2003 x64 a VM on a VMWare? or is the Server that host the VMWare?

The System Properties page (right click my computer...properties) should tell you how much physical ram you have in your system, that the OS recognizes. Check that number first. Task manager...performance tab...Total physical Memory (K), should equal the amount from above.
