Windows Server 2003 forest level
Hi I want to know if my server 2000 ( not a DC ) will still connect if I raise forest level from 2000 mixed mode to 2003 native mode thanks

Hi, Yes when you change the forest / domain level to 2003 native, you cannot have windows 2000 domain controllers. But member server is no problem. More information about functional levels can be found here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc757019(WS.10).aspx Regards Ronny

Hi, Yes, it can join Window Server 2003 domain as member server. If it does not work as expected, please apply this hotfix. Domain Join of a Windows 2000 Client to a Windows Server 2003 Domain Does Not Work http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827181 Hope it helps, Regards, Bruce
