whenever i type HTTP://LOCALHOST/ in IE or Firefox ,they request Username and Pass. what do work?

Does which ever user you are running under IIS, ie. IUSR_ServerName or the Network service have at least read permissions to your web site files?On a side note, everyone will ask that you send IIS questions over to http://www.iis.net/
