Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0 installation problems.
HiI have been asked to install IIS 6.0 on a Windows Server 2003 Standard edition system. When I do it by adding a application server role in manage your server, and select to enable asp.net it comes up with a 'Files needed' dialog box asking for spud.sys on (unkown). There is a spud.sys file in the System32 folder. When I point it to this file it asks me for a windows XP Setup disc!?I am having endless trouble trying to do what should be a simple task. Why is a Windows Server 2003 System requesting an XP disc? XP doesn't even support IIS 6.0. Please help?

Hi!Try installing IIS through add/remove windows components.Go toControl panel -> add/remove programs -> Add/remove windows components. Then select application server and Details. At there you should select IIS and everything else you need. I allways install IIS that way and havent got any problems yet. It will ask you the installation CD and i386 folder, if i remember right. :)Henry Eklf :: Just one random IT-guy more.
