Windows Server 2003 R2: Available memory slowly decreasing...
We have a clustered file server that has 16GB of memory. In Task Manager, the available memory is slowly decreasing by ~1600Kb per second. It will continue to decrease until it hits roughly zero and then immediately go back to 15.5GB free. The processes memory usage and working set do not increase, and are actually quite minimal. I have run Sysinternals process explorer, and can not detect any other process weirdness. To me this points to memory leak or device driver problem. Do you have any other ideas or things to check?Kent A.

Hi, In case you have missed it, have you clean boot/safe mode the server to check whether the issue persists? Did you keep Windows Server 2003 R2 updated? FIX: A small memory leak may occur, and a decrease in performance may occur on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 or Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939527
