Windows Server 2003/2008 Installation Boots from CD but then asks for CD driver
Hi all, I've got tons of Windows 2003 licenses, and a few Windows 2008 licenses that we use for servers at work. We're trying to install Windows Server 2008 R2 into one of our HP ProLiant dl320 G5p's, but the installation starts up at then asks for the dvd-rom driver. It does this for Windows 2003, also. We previously has Ubuntu on it, acting as a SAN. Why would this ask for a DVD-ROM driver after booting up from the very same DVD-ROM? I've looked for a driver disc for the DVD-DROM, but have not been able to find one. Any ideas? Thanks, Ryan

Hello, as this is a HP Proliant server i suggest to use the latest SmartStart to prepare the server and installation: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=344318&lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=345557&taskId=135Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
