Windows Search uncached Exchange Folders
Hi! I have a SBS 2008 with Exchange SP3 and a W2K8 R2 x64 RDS server, with Office 2010 x32 installed. Outlook 2010 is installed in online mode (no OST). Windows Search has been installed on the W2K8 R2 RDS server, and Group Policy has been set on Domain Controller to enable indexing of Outlook offline folders. Running gpresult /v reviles the following related to Windows Search: GPO: W2K8R2 Search KeyName: SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search\PreventIndexingUncachedExchangeFolders Value: 1, 0, 0, 0 State: Enabled GPO: W2K8R2 Search KeyName: SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search\DisableBackoff Value: 0, 0, 0, 0 State: Enabled But windows search it not returning result from e-mail. What have I missed? DSJ

Hi, Have you tried to setup indexing in Office 2010? Found an article which provided related steps: Outlook 2010 Search Indexing http://www.addictivetips.com/microsoft-office/outlook-2010-search-indexing/ Meanwhile you can also post a thread to Office forum to see if there is any advice: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/categories/Shaon Shan| TechNet Subscriber Support in forum| If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com
