Windows SBS 08 startup problems
HI AllMy SBS 08 server is down at the moment.I have 6 146gb SAS drives in raid 6 for the OS and Exchange partition.I was having issues with the raid card failing drives and not rebuilding, talking to adaptec i managed to get all firmware and drivers up to date and got the raid back to an optimal state.Upon trying to push a remote intall of DPMS to the sbs box it crashed.Gave me an error at the boot manager saying no BCD.I could not run the repair utility due to sbs not picking up my raid card, whent into cmd and tried to do all the fixmbr, bootbcd and the rest. none would work due to corupt files, i ran a chkdsk which fixed heaps of errors then i was able to rebuilt the boot bcd.New error saying corrupt registery.Whent back into the repair util, still would not pickup my raid card. i proceded as though i was doing an install. here i was able to install my raid drivers, before i chose what partition to install the new os on i canceled the install. Now im able to go back and run the repair utility. After running this and rebooting it crashes at crcdisk.sys.I go back into command and copy the files from C:\Windows\system32\config\regback to C:\Windows\system32\config which basicaly replaces the current config with one that worked 3 days ago.Now it boots upto a blank screen with a mouse pointer on it, frezes for about 5 seconds and reboots.Im out of steam so any other suggestions is much appreciatedThan ks
