Hello everyone, I have a Windows Server 2012 with SQL Server installed.

Yesterday restarted the server and now will not start the event service windows and therefore does not work with SQL Server agent.

The error indicates to start the Windows service events is as follows

"Windows could not start the Event Log service on Local Computer Windows Error. 13: Invalid Data"

You know how I can fix this?

There may be some file corruption. I'd start by trying to delete the event logs, reboot for effect.

C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs\*.evtx

 

 

 

Hi, I deleted the files of events, and restart the server, but the result is the same. also set the permissions, total control for everyone. any other ideas?

Did you delete them all? Like 250 or so files. After restart are any new files created?
