Windows Deployment Services Server hight CPU usage / wdssrv.dll CollectPerfCounters thread
Hi everybody. A would very appreciate any help or suggestion.We have:Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 andWindows Deployment Services on itPeriodicaly i see the 100% cpu usage on server by svchost.exeI ran sysinternals Process explorer. Opened threads of svchost and saw the following in Starting Addres:wdssrv.dll!CollectPerfCounters+0x115awich used about 85% of CPUWhen i tryied to stop the WDS Sever i got an error, then i've killed this thread and sever have begun to work normally. One more time thanks for any help.

I don't know of any pertaining issues. Are you sure your server doesn't need to be scaled up at all?

Hi, Please uninstall and reinstall your WDS server to test the result. Please also install all available updates and perform a full virus scan. Hope it helps. Tim Quan - MSFT
