Windows Deployment Services DHCP dd-wrt Problem
hello everyone! I am using windows 2008 server and i want to use WDS (windows deployment services) and i have a problem. I am using Linksys router with dd-wrt latest build and I am using this linksys as my dhcp server. so having this dhcp server i did not install dhcp on the windows 2008 server now in order for wds to work i need to configure the router (linksys with dd-wrt) which is using DNSmasq. I've been trying, trying and trying and i cannot get the computer to boot from the network, after it gets the info from the dhcp server it tries to connect to the tftp server and after 20 seconds it times out and i get the error pxe-e32 time out. my question is how can i configure windows 2008 server and/or the linksys with dd-wrt which uses DNSmasq to boot from the network? I also see in the event view (in the windows 2008 server where i have installed wds) that wds sees the computer but it wont get the boot files the event view tells me this: Log Name: Microsoft-Windows-Deployment-Services-Diagnostics/Operational Source: Microsoft-Windows-Deployment-Services-Diagnostics Date: 12/22/2009 12:04:22 AM Event ID: 4096 Task Category: None Level: Information Keywords: User: SYSTEM Computer: ''''here goes the name of my server"""" Description: The Following Client PXE Booted: MAC: """Here was the mac of my computer"""" IP: 192.168.7.55 Guid: """"I erased this section""" Arch: 0 Prestaged: false could anybody help me? thanks
