Windows Azure and HIPPA Compliance

Hi All,

We need to move/develop an application. We are planning to move it to Windows Azure.

But it should be HIPPA Compliant. Does Windows Azure have any HIPPA Compliance issues.

Please help on the same.

I don't believe Windows Azure is HIPPA compliant as of now. You can vote for it here: http://www.mygreatwindowsazureidea.com/forums/34192-windows-azure-feature-voting/suggestions/393309-allow-me-to-run-my-windows-azure-application-in-co?ref=title.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Azure is still not HIPAA compliant. You can use CipherDB on the Azure marketplace to provide the highest security and compliance to .NET developers.

Solution: CipherDB on Azure Marketplace enables applications to be PCI, HIPAA, CIJS, FIP-140-2 compliant in any environment by providing military grade encryption and robust automated key management.
