On a Windows 2008 64 bit server with SP2, 28 updates seem to have just been published on 5/8/2012. Did Microsoft really publish that many patches, or is there a problem with Windows Auto Update?

Yes, there were approximately that many patches (a few more/less depending on which operating systems and applications you're synchronising - we had more). Were you actually having a problem as the title suggests, or were you just trying to confirm the number of published patches? Cheers, Lain

Hi, There are only 6 Microsoft .Net Framework related updates were released for Windows Server 2008 on 5/8/2012. If you dont have these Microsoft .Net Frameworks installed, these 6 updates will not be available for you. Its normal to check Event Viewer for whether Windows Update is working normally.
