Hi 

Yesterday everything worked well. I switched off my laptop normally with the shutdown button.

Today I have no sound and the icon in the task bar has a red cross.

I have followed many helplines that I googled "windows audio not working"

I have found in SERVICES that my Windows Audio is not started, I have tried to start it but I get: ERROR 0x800706cc: The end point is a duplicate.

I have checked all the DEPENDENCIES and they are all running/started.

I have a Asus laptop running Windows 8.1
