Windows 7 SP 1
Having been repeatly burned by Microsoft Service Packs, I blocked the subject item when it was released. My question is: Has there been sufficient time and energy devoted to correcting the bugs in this SP to warrant installation, or should I continue to wait? What is the consensus?

I installed it in many computers no serious issues detected. I do not see a point with waiting for another SP. Prepare test lab with computer/s setup similar to normal computers to test deployment, resolve problems if any are found, deploy on normal computersWith kind regards Krystian Zieja http://www.projectnenvision.com Follow me on twitter My Blog

Do you mean that you have found problems installing SP1? If yes, then proceed like that: Uninstall all installed MUI packs Disable all security softwares and Windows firewall Reset Windows Update components Download and install System Readiness tool for Windows 7 Run sfc /scannow and chkdsk /r /f If this does not solve your problem, perform a repair install of your OS. Hello Mr.X, thanks for mention the problems, I used WSUS, windows update and full downloaded SP1 on VMs and physical machines without any problems, even if AV and firewalls are enabled during installation. MUIs we don't use so i can;t say anything about this. Often i assume that some problems a re caused by additional software not belonging to Microsoft.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
