Windows 7 Enterprise computer identified as XP
I have installed AIS on one computer running Windows 7 Enterprise. If I look at the inventory for that computer it correctly identifies it as running WIndows 7. But if I look at a license statement it shows no computers running Windows 7 and 1 computer running Windows XP. This computer has never had XP installed on it. This is a completely fresh install of Windows 7 Enterprise.

Hi,

If you look at a license statement and it shows no computers running Win7, that would indicate that you need to enter License agreements into AIS by selecting the "Upload License Agreements" Action.  In the Add Agreement Wizard you can either Upload a CSV file of license information or manually add agreement information.  Please let us know if you have done this.

Thank you.

How is that done?

Suggest you try the license reporting functionality in AIS 2.0. Log into https://manage.microsoft.com/ais and enter the same credentials you use for AIS 1.5 (the version of AIS you have been using till now).

There have been similar reports in the past regarding Windows 7 & XP. This has been addressed in AIS 2.0
