Windows 7 Admin Account NTFS removed.
Client changed Everyone group permissions on root of C: drive on Win7 Pro 32 bit Lenovo PC. Called and can't get into C: drive since admin must have been member of group and is now restricted. There is no other admin level account. What are recovery options, other than restore from backup? Tried system restore point but says access denied, I'm assuming since he has no security now on the volume. Thanks in advance.

Try taking ownership of the root with the admin account. Thereafter, you should be able to modify the permissions.

As Brian said, first change the owner of the c: folder to admin account, applied and change permissions again.TechNet Subscriber Support in forum |If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tnmff@microsoft.com.
