I need one information;

I have downloaded the Evaluation version of windows 2012 r2 std edition and want to start OS implementation with one of our customer. The request for licenses (Open Value License) is in process but the customer is pushing to start the implementation. Only thing need to confirm if I install evaluation version and start working on it and later activate the windows when receive the licenses, is it possible or I should wait for the licenses? We have ordered Open Value Licenses. Can I activate the windows later on? I know it was possible with Windows 2008 R2 but dont know about Windows 2012 R2.

Can anyone please guide me?
