Hi all,Please help... we just got a new Dell server with quad core Intel Proc, 8 GB RAM and 4 x 300GB SATA RAID 5. It takes over 12 hours to copy 136 GB on the same drive. It's the same performance over the network average 300-500 KB/s. I tried the same copy on another server it took less then 30 minutes. Real Problem as this is going to be a file server. I called Dell they told me all drivers are up to date and no error on the hardware. Any help much appreciated.ThanksDerek

Hi Derek,Thank you for posting in windows server forums,i would like you to perform series of tests which would help us to determine the sharing behavior.Testsa) how long does it take to copy a file from one folder to another folder on same disk using ( use >100 MB file ) \\ipaddress \\netbios \\fqdnb) how long does it take to copy a file from one folder to another folder using map drive c) restart your OS in safe mode with networking and perform the step (a) and post the results.
