Windows 2008 x64 Memory Issue.. Help!
So I was informed that one of our servers was performing poorly and took at a look at the system information. I was confused by what I saw regarding the memory:
Installed Physical Memory: 32gb
Total Physical Memory: 3.99gb
Available Physical Memory: 5.98gb
I have checked the server tools and all the memory in the system is checking out fine. Can anyone explain why this might be happening and how we can fix this so the performance of the server can go back.
Thanks!

Does the server BIOS recognize all the memory?
Run msconfig, click on "boot" tab, "advanced" button; is the maximum memory setting enabled?

How are things going?
Please check Resource Monitor for the information about physical memory. Whether it is the same as you descripted?
Also you can have a test on steps provided in this link:

I would recommend the following
1. Windows native Performance monitor tools are the primary way to find the source of memory bottleneck.
2. Process Explorer from Sysinternals will give you better information about the processes and threads.
3. If 1 and 2 will give no reasonable results, then more debug tools should confirm or deny the presence of memory leak.
4. Can you summarize here the installed roles and services, as well as installed applications.
Please reveal here your findings (1-3) and configuration data (4).
