Windows 2008 server R2 network issues
Dear Friends,
I have windows 2008 server R2, which is running in my network, and windows 7 professional also in the same work group, and in my server SQL and Oracle based applications also running. These applications are accessing from out side my network also by public
IP. which we Natted in the firewall. from past 2 months i m facing a biggest problem in my work group. that is from all win 7 os PC's, and in server also. when i will be pinging to this server IP and windows 7 system IP's, in between i will get destination
host unreachable, in lan icon users will get no internet access. this is from 2008 server also. for outsiders the application will become slow until it get reconnect or again it starts pinging, i checked for virus also, formatted 7 to 8 pc's . but no
use, checked for the policies also in firewall. i am thinking this might be because of sql or oracle services.please suggest me, what to do. xp systems are working fine & no problems.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME ON THIS ISSUE, IT WILL BE GRATEFUL FOR ME AND MY NETWORK.
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Hi Sai6677,
Thanks for posting here
So were they all been assigned IP address in same IP segment or connected through any router device maybe ? and how did they obtain address ? form DHCP or statically
assigned ?
“destination host unreachable” indicates that there was no proper route entries locally for host to reach the distinction address , so
I would like to confirm that what’s the default gateway entry on these host first?
You might also need to check the settings on your internet gateway and make sure if it was still live for responding the connection form internal host .
Thanks.
