Windows 2008 server
Hello All,
We've just built a Windows 2008 server.
One thing we've noticed is when we logoff a from a Windows 2008 server we see the pop-up message that says "loging off..." and "please wait for the User Profile Service.."
We want to be able to suppress these messages upon logoff on a Windows 2008 server.
Does anybody knows if there is a way to do this?
Thanks for the help.

Hi,
As far as I know, there are no policies to suppress the status messages
on logon/logoff (probably because they are sometimes useful for
troubleshooting). The only settings that I know of affect logon messages
and they are in
Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local
Policies\Security Options
and they are prefixed with "Interactive Logon"
Alternatively there are a few other group policy settings that may help
with a few things like requiring ctrl-alt-del to logon and timing out a
session when a system is shut down, but nothing that really suppresses
status messages.
Are you encountering a specific problem that is motivating the
suppression of these messages?

Thanks.
