Windows 2008 perde la configurazione IPV4
Salve ragazzi,

Sorry, let's post in english:
I've the following condition happening randomly on same Windows Server 2008 (not R2). I've one network card, If I go trough the GUI I see one IP address I've assigned to this nic, If I go to the "Advanced" section looking for other IP addresses,
I don't see any other IP addresses. If I go to command line and type ipconfig /all I see that the same nic has no IP addresses! Infact I can't reach this machine from the network. I've tried to reboot the machine but nothing changed. The only way to solve
the issue is to manually force the IP address with the netsh utility. This strange behaviour is happend on more than one machine on different network, different hardware....
please help

Hello,
please post an unedited ipconfig /all from that server. What do you mean with additional ip addresses? Do you use only fixed addresses or work with DCHP? Are the correct drivers for the server installed?Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hi Francesco,
From the result of IPConfig /all, it seems that you’ve chosen the wrong network for this virtual machine. As your DNS server has an
IP address of 192.168.0.xx, and apparently, it’s an internal network that you’ve built. And you would like this virtual machine to get an IP address like that, 192.168.0.xx. But actually, it’s now getting an IP address of 169.254.177.12,
which is obviously not correct. It looks like the virtual machine got an IP from the external network.
Please make sure you’ve chosen an internal network for the network adapter of your virtual machine. I’m not what virtualization
software that you’re using. In Hyper-V, you can configure the network through Virtual Network Manager.

Hello,
i suggest to disable IPv6 complete, at least for testing, according to:
http://blogs.dirteam.com/blogs/paulbergson/archive/2009/03/19/disabling-ipv6-on-windows-2008.aspx
Please add a screenshot to Windows Skydrive for 1 from a VM and a physical machine.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
