Windows 2008 member DC and IUSR
We have a new 2008 R2 member DC, in a 2003 A/D, we're trying to configure anonymous access within an IIS FTP site however the IUSR account is not found. I found the KB article, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946139, I don't know what negative impact running this script will have on our remaining servers and/or domain controllers. Does the script correct only the issue on this server without impacting anything else?

Hello, the IUSR account is installed on a machine where IIS is installed, so is this the case on the Windows server 2008 R2?Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hello, Let me clarify, sorry. We added a 2008 R2 server, joined the server to our domain, did a DCPROMO to make it a member domain controller, it's also serving as file and print server at another office location. We then added the IIS Role for FTP purposes in which case we want to grant anonymous access, from the above KB, it's my understanding that in mixed mode 2003/2008 domain the built-in IUSR account doesn't appear on 2008 servers as a result of the old 2003 active directory structure. So my question is, does running the proposed script in KB946139 fix this issue on this server, or does is it have implications domain wide that could negatively impact our other servers running various versions of IIS and server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2? Thank you, Brian
