Windows 2008 Web Edition
All the tutorials say that the IIS 7 is configured to immediately allow traffic through port 80. I installed Windows 2008 Server Web Edition and default settings are not registering my sites. When I test the settings under basic settings for sites an Authorization error appears. The Server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built in account to access the specified physical path. However, IIS Manager cannot verify whether the built-in account has access. Make sure that the application pool has read access to the physical path. Don't know what about the DNS Client or http listner could cause sites not to resolve and cache.
