Hi all, Whenever I hover over an icon the font shadow disappears and I'm left with white text. The desktop enforced by GPO is also white, meaning the text becomes invisible. The theme used makes no difference (aero/classic). The icon text color is greyed out in Advanced Settings and I can't find the registry key which corrosponds to the text color. Google seems to suggest that the "use drop shadows for icons on the desktop" option is the answer to all desktop icon issues on 2008, but it does absolutely nothing to help resolve the issue. Any ideas?

Hi, I would like to confirm that if this issue occurs on all the users or only one users? If this issue only occurs on one user, please try to create a new account for the user to test the issue. If the cause is not the corrupt user profile, I also would like to suggest you test the issue in Clean Boot to check if there is any third party software conflict. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password or click Continue. 3. On the General tab, click Selective startup. 4. Under Selective Startup, click to clear the Load startup items check box. 5. Click the Services tab, click to select the Hide All Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all. 6.
