Windows 2008 R2 and SQL Cluster

Dear All,

I would like to ask few things about Windows 2008 R2 and SQL Cluster.

1. Would multi-subnet for cluster be difficult to deploy and will it have difficulty to use?

2. Can I use 1 network port for both cluster production network and heartbeat network?

Many Thanks

Best Regards,

Elroy

Hiya,

1: Its possible to deploy, but there are a few more requirements for this to work. There are guides available on the net for this. If its difficult or not, really depends on your own knowledge :)

2: Yes you can. As long as you make sure that this network card never gets overloaded, so that the cluster can communicate "freely", without interruption.
