I download this file off MS site..Is this the correct file for Windows 2008 R2 STD MUI French? Windows6.1-KB974587-x64-fr-fr.exe When I run it I see a file called lp.cab being create then it would disappear...Any idea? Thanks!

Yes, that is the correct file. I installed it a month ago and I had the same thing. Please make sure now that you are able to change your display language to frensh.
