Windows 2008 R2 BugCheck 9F
Hi We have a new HP DL380 G6 server setup running Windows 2008 R2 Standard, over the last few days we have been getting unexpected reboots on the system, I’ve managed to get the memory dump file but have been unable to find any info on the net about it Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information. So why would this be causing a server to crash as the server isn’t setup for any power management I’m planning to update to the latest firmware\PSP but thought I’d ask here first Any help on this would be great Thanks

Hi, 0x9f (0x3,,,) = driver in an inconsistent power state and blocking an IRP for too long a time you need to update acpipmi.sys see here http://www.techsupportforum.com/microsoft-support/windows-vista-windows-7-support/506243-random-bluescreening-restart-s3-standby-resume.html HTHEdoardo Benussi - Microsoft MVP Management Infrastructure - Systems Administration https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/Profile/Benussi Windows Server Italian Forum Moderator edo[at]mvps[dot]org

We've had two BSOD over the last two days, both at differnet times and can see no real reason as to why Performance of the server has been low during the time Thanks

Sorry there was 3 bluescreens, after checking the DUMP file was dated the 24th but the server crashed on the 25th and 26th but with no DUMP file so i'm not 100% sure if it was the same bluescreen i can only think it was tho
