Windows 2008 Policy
Hi, My question is the following: On Windows 2008 server there is a policy called: Do not allow client printer redirection Is this mean terminal clients will use easy print driver every time when they start a printing task if this property has set "enable" ? Thanks for the answer in advance! Cheers

hi there, you should not enable the above policy. if you enable it, use terminal services easy print printer driver first policy setting is ignored. So you should set the Do not allow client printer redirection policy to disable and enable the use terminal services easy print printer driver first Further / Additional InformationIf this policy is enabled, it will prevent client printer redirection. In addition, the Windows printer mapping checkbox in the Terminal Server Configuration console is disabled
This policy setting allows you to specify whether to prevent the mapping of client printers in Terminal Services sessions.
You can use this policy setting to prevent users from redirecting print jobs from the remote computer to a printer attached to their local (client) computer. By default, Terminal Services allows this client printer mapping.
If you enable this policy setting, users cannot redirect print jobs from the remote computer to a local client printer in Terminal Services sessions.
If you disable this policy setting, users can redirect print jobs with client printer mapping.
If you do not configure this policy setting, client printer mapping is not specified at the Group Policy level. However, an administrator can still disable client printer mapping by using the Terminal Services Configuration tool.

Hi and thanks for the quick reply! But this is my will: I don't want to use easy print. :) If it is possible I want to use the printer's own native driver I've already installed on the terminal servers. So in this case should I set "Do not allow client printer redirection " to enable or I shouldn't? :)
