Windows 2008 License Deactivated Itself
Hello All, Im currently running Windows 2008 with Citrix Xenapp 5.0 installed. I'm managing a server farm of 26 Citrix Server. Just in the past few weeks I've noticed 4 of our servers have had their windows 2008 server licenses deactivate after reboot. These servers are physical and currently using a volume licenses. These servers have been working without any issues for almost a year and a half and I havent done any updates on them since May. I've verified that we have not exceeded our allowed amount of activations and have done some breif researching but have come up with no leads. From the articles that Ive read most issues occour when hardware modifications have been applied or on VM servers but none of these scenarios apply to my situation. Has anyone experienced this before or have any suggestions. So far to get the servers back up i've re-entered the licenses and reactivated the servers. Any help or direction given would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Sean

Hello Sean, For licensing questions, I suggest contacting Microsoft Licensing Center for detailed explanation. http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/contact-us.aspx Worldwide customers can use the Guide to Worldwide Microsoft Licensing Sites http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/index/worldwide.asp to find contact information in their locations.
