Windows 2008 Domain Controller DCDIAG error
I put a new 2008 domain controller in a recently upgraded to 2008 domain from 2003 domain. When I run DCDiag I get the following error.
Starting test: NCSecDesc
Error NT AUTHORITY\ENTERPRISE DOMAIN CONTROLLERS doesn't have
Replicating Directory Changes In Filtered Set
access rights for the naming context:
DC=ForestDnsZones,DC=domain,DC=com
Error NT AUTHORITY\ENTERPRISE DOMAIN CONTROLLERS doesn't have
Replicating Directory Changes In Filtered Set
access rights for the naming context:
DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=domain,DC=com
......................... servername failed test NCSecDesc
How is this error fixed?
Thanks

Hello,
seems that you didn't run adprep /rodcprep, so run the command and then check again.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hello,
if you are planning to add RODCs then run adprep /rodcprep to prepare your AD environment for such add. After running it, the error will disappear.
If you are not planning to add RODCs, you can ignore the error.
