Windows 2008R2 server registers IP in DNS even though it's set to not do this
We have a 2008R2 server that we've unchecked "Register this connection's address in DNS" for two adapters on an iSCSI VLAN; however, these two IPs keep showing up in DNS. It's patched up until the past couple of weeks, and I've not been able to find a solution when searching on the Internet. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks

Is it a domain controller or does it have the DNS server role? If yes to either of those, you need to go into the DNS server properties and uncheck the listen ports for the IP's you don't want registered.

Thank you. I've actually done this in the past, but I didn't recall this until you mentioned it. The problem is resolved.
