Windows 2003 server swap drive assign anytime
Hi, I have here a server (W2003 R2) to solve a problem and find a solution. The server has two partitions, part 1-> volume 1-> drive c:, part 2-> volume 2-> drive D: drive C: is the system and drive D: data. So is the original install. Now "something" happens (maybe a power crash), the server no longer starts. When we lose out, I noticed drive C: is jet d: and vice versa (c: and d: swapped). I have tried the ERD Commander and now also reports Windows system to LW: d - so some programs can't find the system and its data/settings. Now I thought drives can change back with diskpart-> assign letter, works fine and the driveletters are OK. Only the comply until the next restart, then again reversed. Then I change thought by: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307844 Brings no points. How do I get drive: C as C: and D: as D: again? What in the system twisted always? Thanks to all who can help.
