What will happen if I convert c:\ drive with windows server 2003 installed from basic disk to dynamic disk? Thanks

It will become a dynamic disk! There will be no data lost or anything like that. Note that you cannot convert it into a basic disk once this is done. It is a one-time operation. But the question really is why do you want to convert it to a dynamic disk. The only benefit is if you want to mirror or stripe it with another disk.If you found this post helpful, please give it a "Helpful" vote. Yes, no problem. I've done this successfully. For authoritative and full instructions, see this article: "How to mirror the system and boot partition (RAID1) in Windows Server 2003" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323432If you found this post helpful, please give it a "Helpful" vote.
