Windows 2003 Task Scheduler doesn't lauch
When I open the task scheduler from Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools nothing happens. When i goto start\run c:\windows\tasks, it opens up in an explorer windows and I can see the job files but that is it. Normally when I do this it
just opens up the task scheduler.
How do I fix\recover the task scheduler?
Thanks

On one of my servers the shortcut Target reads;
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe ::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\::{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}\::{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}

Check the Task Scheduler shortcut target value "%windir%\system32\taskschd.msc /s"

Found the problem. Someone changed the registry for the file to go to s:\tasks instead of the default. Restore key and all is good again.
