Because the logs contained in the Event Viewer are determined by the size setting not the date, please open your Event Viewer, just go to Windows Logs - Application, scroll down to the bottom to check what's the Date and Time it records. If you can
go back to 7 months, maybe you find get the logs back. If not, I'm afraid you cannot find those old logs.

No auditing has been configured on the Windows 2003 server standard edition sp2. I realized that in the event viewer for the security logs that it shows for that month (August). I would like to go back as far as 7 months. Is this possible
by locating other logs on the server. Can these logs be printed? Can you view these logs with Microsoft Word or any other application.
