Windows 2003 Server Licensing Question
My client has a Windows 2003 Server SP2 that operates to provide services for several XP terminals for MRP software.
The Server does not have Active Directory Installed.
Currently, the "Client License Mode" is setup for Product: Windows Server -> Per Device or Per User.
Upgrading to Exchange Server that will have 10 User Mail Boxes.
First, we'll need to upgrade the Server for ADS, and then install Exchange, but what about the license mode? There will be 5-10 XP workstations connecting that weren't connecting before, and with the addition of the XP clients (10) that already connect
with the current license mode.
Thanks,

OK. Why am I confused that this server only has server licenses?
The MRP software connects to the server through port 23, telnet port, so does this mean that they don't need additional licenses for this type of connection?

I could just call the hot-line, but just curious.

Doubt if the connection port matters but I'd call them up.
