Windows 2003 Server Crashed ( No OS )
Hello,
I found that one of our server windows 2003 crashed ( Not found Operating System ) and we don't have any Backup OR ASR but I want to build the Server again with Same Data and all settings. The Server contains CA Application.
I heard that it can be possible with third party software.
Is there any way in Microsoft OR any third party to Recover the Server without Backup . ? if Yes, How it can Be.
Thanks in Advanced.

Hello,
never heard about a Microsoft solution to restore a server without backups/snapshots/images.
You have to search for 3rd party softwares that may perform that.

I havent heard of such a product as well. I assume that you may be confused with data recovery where you use software to access deleted/corrupt files off of a failed disk. This is alot different than rebuilding an entire system. Even if
this 3rd party product existed, without a backup or snapshot at some point in time, what would you actually recover to...would it be the moment just before the server crashed?
If the drives are still good, you can pull them out of the server (assuming no RAID array) and read them from another computer. Copy the data off, then you can just rebuild the server from scratch, re-install all of the programs, then copy the data
back to the server.
Finally, once the server is up and running, invest some funds into a good backup and recovery solution.

Hi,
I also have not heard about how to recover the system without any backup.
In addition, you may consider to perform a repair installation. For the detailed steps, please refer to the following Microsoft KB article and follow

It can try using the fixmbr and fixboot command by booting the server from a bootable CD also did you checked if the h/w is intact?
