Windows 2003 R2 Member Server has started requiring a connection to a domain controller for local user access to the server
Windows 2003 R2 Member Server has started requiring a connection to a domain controller for local user access to the server. We have a WAN environment with site servers being member servers and the data centres having domain controllers.Over the last few months, if I lose the connection to the domain controllers, the end user at the site is able to log into their machine but not to the server on their site (which is on their LAN).I dont want to make all my servers at sites domain controllers. This used to work fine but must have been an update pushed down via windows update. Can anyone suggest how I would go about fixing this. Thanks

When you say log on to the server, do you mean actually logging in to the server (via RDP or something similar)or do you mean just access files etc on the server from their machine? My blog: http://cjwdev.wordpress.com

Dear Customer, I just wanted to say hi, and to see how things are going. I haven't heard back from you yet and I was wondering if there are any updates on the service request.
Thanks.
Sincerely
